Message from the Principal

Hello, and welcome to Plainfield Academy, District 202’s alternative school.

Our school comprises four unique programs:

  1. P-STEP (Post Secondary Transition and Educational Program) serves students between 18-21 years old.  The P-STEP student’s instructional program consists of academics, vocational, recreational and daily living skills.
  2. Turnabout is our “in-lieu of expulsion” regular education high school program.
  3. TAP (the Therapeutic Academic Program) serves students who are struggling with emotional and social challenges
  4. Finally, the Plainfield Academy High School and Middle School are our traditional alternative school environments.

Plainfield Academy is an important part of District 202’s comprehensive educational program. We proudly strive to ensure that every student’s individual educational needs are met, so that all of our students can learn, grow and succeed.

Thank you for your support. Please feel free to contact us at (815) 439-5521 for more information.
